There's an app for that!" is a quote you have probably become accustomed to. If you want to do something, read something, remember something, you will probably find an app that will help you accomplish what you are looking for.
While listening to the news the other night, one of the individuals who was being interviewed regarding the latest technology in cell phones, commented that he wouldn't be changing cell phones just yet as he has spent over $200.00 on apps.
While there are many apps that you can purchase, there are also many products that you can get for free. Sometimes the catch may be that there is extensive advertising surrounding the product which can get annoying but if you have a few hours to spare, there is such a huge selection on the market that you should be able to find what you are looking for.
Two of my favorite free apps that I use are Dropbox and Mighty Text. Dropbox is a free service that lets you bring all your photos, docs, and videos anywhere. This means that any file whether photos or documents that you save to your Dropbox will automatically save to all your computers, phones and even the Dropbox website. It makes it very simple to share photos and is great as a backup if your computer happens to take some time off from working. Dropbox has a limit of 2 GB for free which will be enough for most users but you can buy more space if needed. (Note: Google Drive is also popular as well and has free space.) Mightly Text is just plain cool on a number of levels. You can sync with your Android phone and see calls or texts coming from your cell on your computer. The catch is your need an Android phone for this app but as Android is leading the market right now, this app is very popular. It will turn your calls into a written message that you can see on your computer from anywhere (literally, as I received texts and messages on my tablet while in the Dominican Republic!) Click on the link to see if this might be exactly what you need to always stay connected.
So happy apping! If you have any questions about either one of my favorites, do not hesitate to call, text or email me as it will find me wherever I am.
