Look Up & Dream

Sometimes we get so busy that we miss the little things or sometimes the big things that need taking care of around our homes. We notice the flooring may need replacing soon or the chips of paint missing around the doors are becoming a little more obvious than they were a year ago. But do we think to look up?

The ceiling is often an area that gets neglected or just plain ignored. Whether it is too awkward to deal with or we just don't notice it as much, it is still an important part of our home and can even be a focal point in a room.

I found a couple articles that focus on ceilings. The first one looks at fun colors that you can add to the ceiling to make it stand out. From painting the joists to decorative moldings, you can go beyond your typical "ceiling white" coat of paint. Just Click for inspiration:

9 Fun Ceiling Colors To Try Right Now

Sometimes you are looking for a little more texture or originality and paint color just isn't enough. I found this article that focuses on everything from drapery to tile to moldings. Just Click and be inspired:

Look Up & Dream: 11 Ideas For An Inspired Ceiling

So with winter rapidly approaching, you might want to start thinking of your winter projects and maybe this has given you some ideas to enhance a room that you haven't been quite sure what to do with. It can be tough to make changes on a home you've lived in for many years so sometimes a 2nd opinion can make all the difference. If you are thinking that 2015 might be the year you sell and are looking for that 2nd opinion on what changes to make prior to listing, do not hesitate to give me a call and we can look at what would have the biggest impact in your home that would inspire buyers to want to own it.
