For those of us that can remember life without the internet, it is amazing how much we use it now. From searches to social media, it is an integral part of our lives. There are many avenues we can explore that we can use not only for our personal interest but for business as well. One of those medias that is growing rapidly is Pinterest.

If you haven't used this site before, you can check out the Pinning 101 page for details on how to get started and how to use the site. If you are curious as to when and how this pin-board style photo sharing website got started, jump onto Wikipedia for its history.

The website allows users to create and manage theme-based image collections such as events, interests, hobbies, just to name a few. Users can browse other pinboards for inspiration, 're-pin' images to their own pinboards, or 'like' photos. Many businesses use this site in their advertising portfolio. Check out RE/MAX's board to see some of the information they like to share. One pin that might interest you if you are looking to trend up your home is the 5 Home Decor Trends of 2013.

So put down that hard cover book, close up that newspaper and let the internet in. It might just be another way of relaxing and enjoying the simple things in life.
